Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: June 20, 2026

Welcome to India Travel Awaits. By booking a tour package or travel services with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms govern the relationship between India Travel Awaits ("we," "us," or "our") and the traveler ("you" or "client").

1. Bookings and Reservation Confirmation

To register for any package, you must submit a booking inquiry through our website booking form, email, or direct WhatsApp portal.

  • A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to initiate bookings and confirm hotel reservations.
  • The remaining balance of 70% must be paid at least 15 days prior to the tour departure date.
  • For bookings made within 15 days of departure, 100% payment is required at the time of reservation.
  • Payments can be made via Bank Transfer (NEFT/IMPS/UPI) or secure payment links provided by our team.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

We plan reservations well in advance. In the event that you cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges apply based on the notification date prior to the tour start date:

  • More than 30 Days before departure: 10% of the total tour cost will be charged as administrative/booking fee.
  • 15 to 30 Days before departure: 30% of the total tour cost (the booking deposit) will be retained.
  • 7 to 14 Days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost will be charged.
  • Less than 7 Days / No Show: 100% of the total tour cost will be charged. No refund will be issued.

Refund processing takes between 7 to 10 working days from the date of official cancellation request confirmation.

3. Itinerary Changes and Adjustments

While we make every effort to adhere to planned itineraries, traveling across remote hill stations and historical sites in India can sometimes involve unpredictable circumstances.

  • We reserve the right to alter itineraries, hotel accommodations, or route paths due to bad weather conditions, landslides, road closures, government directives, or other force majeure circumstances.
  • Any additional costs incurred due to natural disasters, roadblocks, flight cancellations, or political disturbances must be borne directly by the traveler.

4. Traveler Health and Physical Fitness

Many of our tours (such as the Himalayan Treks or the Char Dham Pilgrimage) involve travel to high-altitude areas and remote terrains.

  • It is the passenger's sole responsibility to ensure they are physically fit and medically cleared to complete the selected itinerary.
  • You must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, chronic illnesses, or dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
  • We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, high-altitude rescue operations, and trip cancellations.

5. Liability Limitation

India Travel Awaits works in partnership with certified local hotels, transport providers, and guides to ensure a safe journey. However, we act only as facilitators.

  • We are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, accident, or delay resulting from services provided by independent hotel operators, airlines, train systems, or car rental vendors.
  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal baggage, cash, or valuables during the tour.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with our services will be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the courts in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, India.
